A PENTHOUSE WHERE MIRTHE BRINGS TOGETHER LUXURY AND COMFORT, AND WHERE THE POWER OF CONTRAST ENHANCES THE BEAUTY OF HARMONY.
Mirthe Janus: “The leather wall behind the niche is inspired by piano keys and was specially developed for optimal acoustics. The design is based on the residents’ passions: coffee, art, and music.”

THE LEATHER USED IN THIS PROJECT
In consultation with Alphenberg and of course the client, MIRTHE JANUS chose the leather types TUNDRA and HYPERNOVA.
TUNDRA is heavier and more robust than most other types of leather, making it exceptionally suitable for floors and stairs. It has a rugged and matte appearance and is, to some extent, self-healing when it comes to scratches or signs of use—useful when it falls into the ‘heavy use’ category. This leather gains character as it ages and is used more. Mirthe chose TUNDRA in the color STONE for the acoustic wall, the floor, and the staircase, each processed by her in a unique way.
HYPERNOVA is characterized by a mix of colors, metallics, and wax layers, giving it a highly distinctive appearance. It evokes the feeling of the heavens, the universe, yet still earthy. Hypernova is particularly suitable for cladding a bar wall.
